Have you ever received a request for help or for a referral, but the "problem" didn't fit your group's mission or core competancies? Many good ideas never come to fruition due to logistical difficulties. Inspired by the old saying, "Many hands make light work", the Many Hands Alliance was formed to help military-oriented groups work smarter, not harder. By sharing resources and ideas, we hope to accomplish far more together than we can separately. Contact us today to find out how you can become part of this program. Hospital Lending Library Are gently- or unused DVDs, electronic games, or CDs cluttering up your house? Why not donate them to help recovering soldiers and Marines at military hospitals pass the time? Being confined to a hospital bed for months on end can be boring. With your help, we'd like to create a lending libraries for burn patients at Brooke Army Medical Center. If the program is successful, we'd like to expand it to other military hospitals. This would be a great project for Boy or Girl Scout troops, church youth groups, or other civic organizations who want to get involved but lack resources. Best of all, after you donate your unused DVD's, games and CDs you'll enjoy a clutter-free house while knowing you've helped to brighten the days and nights of military vets and their families living at the hospitals.
